Baby on Violin

Bronze

A dark bronze violin body stands upright on slim blade legs, its surface rich with shadow and sheen. A tiny infant figure clambers across the instrument’s face, one arm flung wide in exuberant exploration, as if discovering a new world. Beside the child, a wire treble clef curls delicately, echoing the silent music that seems to hum from the bronze. The violin looms with the presence of furniture, while the child, barely a handspan, brings a sense of memory, vulnerability, and wonder to the scene.
