Artist Statement

My painting and sculpture focus on a visual growth and unfolding: I have an intuitive approach to my creative expression. During the initial process of painting and sculpting-forms, shapes and movement begin to suggest images to me: I direct and focus of what evolves-and creating is taking life of its own, becoming personalized. For me the creative process is both a joy and a struggle: The joy is an outlet for my energy, feelings and thoughts, and a struggle because the content of my work is often elusive. In the last couple of years I am exploring the interaction between music, art and human body as a sensual and spiritual experience, expressing by material form the spirituality and dynamic of music.
